Tortilla Flats

August Vineyards was founded in 2015 when Ben August purchased a four-acre property in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District that included two acres of Malbec vines and a Tudor-style home, stone castle and gardens. The vineyard is known to produce some of the best Malbec in the Napa Valley, a small portion of the vineyard is still retained by a super-premium winery for use in their top-tier wines.

Tortilla Flat serves as a gathering place for friends and community—mirroring the spirit of camaraderie and joy in the novel. The novel’s tone, which blends humor, affection and pathos, aligns with the atmosphere Ben creates for his gatherings among the vines.
